Vixos designs, manufactures, and sells high-end flight termination systems for drones. The system increases safety of drone operations by allowing the operator to stop a flyaway drone by the push of a button. Using satellite, communication the system is completely independent from the drone autopilot, which provides high reliability and unlimited range.

Vixos´ product leverages two critical space technologies: GNSS and satellite communication. Their product consists of “Buzzard” onboard the aircraft and “Falcon” on the ground with the aircraft operator.

Satellite communication ensures a reliable link between the onboard Buzzard and the ground-based Falcon, overcoming challenges such as antenna tracking, legal frequency variations, and loss of communication due to obstacles or range. GNSS provides independent localization of the aircraft, crucial in emergencies. In addition, it enables automated geofencing to terminate flights if the drone exits a predetermined area
