ATLANT 3D is a Danish deep-tech company building atomic-scale advanced manufacturing tools that let researchers and manufacturers prototype and produce functional features directly on a substrate, rapidly and with atomic precision. Our core platform, Direct Atomic Layer Processing (DALP®), integrates temporal and spatial atomic-layer steps in a single direct-write process, reducing masks, steps, and lead times while enabling on-demand materials innovation across microelectronics, MEMS, and sensors.
NANOFABRICATOR® ZERO-G adapts ATLANT 3D’s DALP® for microgravity. It deposits and patterns functional thin films, metals, oxides, and semiconductors, directly on substrates with micron precision. The system targets parabolic flights and orbital platforms for on-demand sensor prototyping, materials studies, and in-situ repair of space hardware, shortening iteration cycles and reducing reliance on ground labs.
During incubation, ESA BIC Denmark provided a financial contribution of up to €50,000 for product development, released against milestones, and technical support tied to our activity plan. The programme’s reviews, reporting structure, and milestone payments helped de-risk design choices and move NANOFABRICATOR® ZERO-G from concept to an engineering model.
