Write your application
Start by downloading our application document package.
Inside the package, you’ll find five documents that you must fill out as part of your application:
1. Cover Letter template
2. Incubation Proposal
3. Business Plan
4. Tables & Figures
5. Draft Incubation Contract
These five documents are required for your application to be complete.
You’ll also find a few support documents in the package. These are for guidance only — you don’t need to fill them out.

Why choose prepare for space?
What is it?
The General Support Technology Programme (GSTP) by the European Space Agency (ESA) takes cutting-edge technologies that are not ready to be sent into space and develops them for future space missions. In the spring of 2025, ESA will open calls specifically targeting Danish companies that are working on innovative space technologies or enhancing existing ones, which can lead to more efficient and advanced space systems.

What is offered?
GSTP funding, typically between €500,000 to €1 million, can be used to:
- Accelerate technology development and adaption for space.
- Gain access to ESA expertise and collaboration opportunities.
- Strengthen a company's position in the growing space sector
- Open new business opportunities in the space industry.
ESA Technology Broker Denmark offers a complimentary support package called “Prepare for Space” to assist Danish companies interested in applying for GSTP. We can help you with your proposal. The deadline for submitting a simple 3-page Statement of Interest for GSTP to ESA is April 21, 2025. If you are interested, please reach out to our broker team as soon as possible, so we can help you prepare your statement of interest in time for the deadline.

Process & deadlines
The Prepare for Space call is permanently open and has no closing date for the submission of applications. The evaluation of applications is scheduled on a rolling basis.Your company can submit your application at any time.
ESA BIC DK checks your application for compliance with ESA rules. We will contact you in case you need to make corrections. You have 48 hours to re-submit your updated application, before we send it of to the Evaluation Board.
The first evaluation will be done by ESA Technology Broker and will take approximately 5 business days.When ESA Technology Broker Denmark accepts the application it will be sent for final evaluation at the Tender Evaluation Board with ESA.The Tender Evaluation Board meets on specific dates throughout the year. In Q1 and Q2 2025 the Tender Evaluation Board meets on the 26/2, 19/3, 30/4, 28/5, 18/6.
Applications will be notified tentatively within 10 days after the board meetings
